Months in Thai

Thailand has the requisite 12 calendar months. One thing that struck me when typing in the list was that August (สิงหาคม,  sĭng-hăa-kom) sounds somewhat like lion (สิงห์ม, sĭng), and August falls mainly within the Zodiac sign of Leo. It turns out all the months are named after the corresponding Zodiac signs.

The name endings have a certain "logic": months with 30 days end with ยน (yon), months with 31 days end with คม (kom) and February ends with พันธ์ (pun).
